Race

The TRAC (The Road-Racers of Atlantic Canada) Series currently holds races in three distinct series, each with their own championship at the end of the season.
The official web page of the TRAC Series Championships can be found at tracracing.ca
Grand Touring (GT) Sprint A and B races are 12 laps, and awards are given in each class — GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, GT5, and GT6 for the top finishers. There are 2 sprint races for each series on each race weekend.
Atlantic Challenge Enduro races are one hour long each (including a five minute mandatory pit stop), with cars in all classes running. Awards are given for each class in this series.
Classes
PWR Class – Power to Weight Ratio
Cars are put into one of six PWR classes, as seen below, based on their measured power to weight ratio (pounds per wheel horsepower).
- GT1 – Less than 7
- GT2 – Greater than or equal to 7 and less than 10
- GT3 – Greater than or equal to 10 and less than 14
- GT4 – Greater than or equal to 14 and less than 18
- GT5 – Greater than or equal to 18 and less than 21
- GT6 – Greater than or equal to 21
There are several additional factors used to calculate a final PWR score in order to decide which class a car shall compete in. These are called modifiers.
Modifiers are either a handicap or a benefit to the final PWR number. Modifiers are applied for a few main items on a car; aerodynamic improvements, upgraded brakes, chassis type, transmission type, and tire type.
