2023 ARMS Nominating Committee – request for nominations

Hi All,
The 2023 ARMS AGM Nominating Committee consists of Dave Hull as Chairperson, Daphne Sleigh and Stephen Lockhart.

We are looking for nominations/suggestions for people for the following positions President, Secretary and License/Registrar.

The incumbents for these positions have all agreed to reoffer.

The 2023 Annual General Meeting for Atlantic Region Motor Sports will be hosted by the Moncton Motor Sport Club on November 24-26, 2023 at the Hampton Inn & Suites located at 700 Mapleton Road, Moncton, NB.

The overall agenda is as follows:

11:00 am – 1:00 pm Annual Awards Presentations
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Solosport Workshop
2:30 pm – 5:00pm Race Workshop
7:00pm – Dinner and Social at St. Louis Bar and Grill, 1405 Mountain Road

ARMS Nominating Committee Request

Hi All,Just a reminder that the ARMS AGM is fast approaching, about a month before it happens.
On behalf of the ARMS AGM Nominating Committee I am requesting nominations for the following two positions

  1. ARMS President – incumbent Cindy McCarron not reoffering
  2. ARMS Secretary – incumbent Alan Gray not reoffering

As the incumbents are not reoffering we are in need of someone to fill each of these positions.The members of the Nominating Committee are Dave Hull (chair of the committee) along with Brian Jarvis and Chris McCrea.
The role of the nominating committee is to solicit nominations for each position. Then if there is more than one nomination for a position the nominating committee will choose a single nomination and present that person as the committee’s choice at the AGM meeting. After the nominating committee’s choices have been presented, nominations from the floor will be solicited and if additional people are nominated for a position an election will be held.
When making a nomination please include the contact info for the nominee so that the committee can contact them to ensure that they indeed will be willing to stand for office.
When making nominations from the floor the person nominated must be present or they must send an email to the Chair of the Nominating Committee to indicate that they are willing to stand for office.
Please send all nominations to Dave Hull at irally@gmail.com preferably before November 17, 2021 to give the committee a chance to verify nominations.
