FMC RallyCross @ Speedway 660 Geary NB

Organizer plans on arriving at Geary right around 10am, set up the course, registration until about 11.30, driver’s meeting, then cars on course at noon.

Just in from BAC / Gordon Sleigh:

Okay folks, here’s the story. Forecast for tonight is 60% chance of Rain, 0 degrees tomorrow and 6 degrees and early morning rain on Sunday. Thats going to make for a soft lot and I’m just not comfortable that we won’t wreck the small lot and not be able to fix it if we run.

I don’t want to cancel another event, but I think at this point its more important to try and save the rest of our season, so to that end we’re going to have a work party on Sunday in the Scotia big lot to try and fix up what we did so we can run there on the 16th. I think everyone agrees we’d much rather be in the large lot than the small one anyway.

So calling all able bodied rallycrossers to come out to Scotia on Sunday at 10:30 or so. Bring boots, gloves and shovels/rakes/hoes. If we can pull things down and even them out mechanically we will but we may be resorting to good ‘ol manpower to fix the worst of it.

Due to the back 40 at AMP being too soft the RallyCross will now be held at Scotia SpeedWorld.

But due to forecast rain (the Weather Network says 80% and Envirinment Canada says 40%) on February 2nd the event maybe called off. An announcement will be posted here and the ARMS forum as well as on the BAC web site Friday evening.

UPDATE: With the news of Arnold Hoar’s passing, it has been decided to postpone this event to a later date.  Condolences to the Hoar family and friends.

It’s that time of the year again! Assuming there’s still snow, MMSC will be holding a Rallycross event on Sunday, January 26th at the Magic Mountain parking lot. * “Normal” #13 or #15 studded snow tires are allowed in all classes. No other types of studded tires are allowed with approval by the organizer.

** including (a) Rally and Race prepared vehicles, (b) vehicles with other than OEM (as the vehicle in question came from the factory) drive train (engine, transmission, rear ends, etc…) and or suspension modifications, (c) vehicles that have had parts removed that cause a weight reduction (seats, carpets, headliners, air conditioning, ABS, etc…)
