ARMS Bulletin # 1 – 2016
January 25, 2016
Item #1
Minimum Age Requirement for Passengers –
The minimum age for passengers in ARMS sanctioned closed course non speed car events (i.e. Slalom, lapping, time attack, rally cross) shall be 14 years of age. Vehicles carrying passengers under the age of majority, in the province where the event is taking place, must be driven by the passengers parent or guardian, as indicated on the completed applicable ASN Canada waivers. Additional requirements of other regulations governing the activity will still apply (height, weight, seat position, proper fitting helmet, etc).
Item #2
Minimum Helmet Requirement –
ARMS will no longer accept helmets bearing Snell M2000 or Snell SA2000 certifications for use by participants in ARMS sanctioned closed course car events (i.e. Slalom, lapping, time attack, rally cross, rally sprint), regardless of other regulations governing the activity.
These two items were revised at the ARMS Board of Directors meeting on January 23, 2016.
These will take effect immediately.
