Jared Meade's first kart a Coyote bullet it was about 15 years old when we bought it we have 11 seasons in now, was on the track up until last season I think. The Birel AR1 that was owned by Tim ??? with the open whell car is on the track in Fredericton and it is superbly restored. It would be 12-13 years old.

Actually we ran a swiss hutless in Novice and one year of junior mechanical brake calipar and all, it was a former F100 kart. Took it to Shannonville for the Grand Nationals, they were like "What the heck is this!"
Chris finished 18th out of 40 in Junior light, big draft battles on that track. We sold it to a guy in Manitoba, shipped it via acadian line bus......haha, two big boxes that took. Shocked

I'll post up our first new kart bought in the spring of 1987, Glenn's Emick Express, which was not run last year but is for sale on the AMKA site. The kart is in great shape and has been run pretty much every year since new. It would proceed any of the Coyotes around here as my first new Coyote wasn't bought until the next year. 22 years is a pretty fair length of service so far... Wink

I believe this preceeds the Martin's Swiss Hutless as I think it was one of two purchased by Eugene Pettipas for his boys a few years later just before the club left AMP.

I sold a Swiss to a fellow in fredericton it is not being run now, and don't know what happened tto it. I bought it in Riverview NB it was lime green and had the two torsion bars that ran from under the seat up to the spindkles. can anyone date that model?

The old Coyote I spoke of earlier I bought in Riverview also it was lettered as sponsored by Campbell auto sales some one may recognize it's lineage.

I got an old Swiss Hutless I bought from the Trivetts years ago. Bought it to compete in Solo II's with it but the rules got changed after only getting one event in.

Now it's used to terrorize the neighbours, and when they complain... let them have a ride which usually ends up in a whole new group of neighbours mad at me Cool

Stacy
BTW if someone changes the topic of this thread to even mention why we can't have karts in solo events I'll beat them with an old plastic fuel line from the kart. Plenty of venting of this subject on other threads Rolling Eyes
