I'll be there, provided the FiST is back together in time. It should be.

I already have a payment in the system.

Aaaaaannd apparently I'm out. Parts didn't show up when they were supposed to, so the car will still be in the shop this weekend.

There are thunder showers in the forecast. How would this effect the event?

Likely, just a guess, we'll stop, bring in Marshalls, take cover and wait a half hour until it's past. Then continue. But it's just a guess.

WTF Justin!!! Ford is F***ing screwing with you man. It's just a set of brakes. How much longer does the simplest part in the car take to fix?! 8O

Thundershowers are not that big of an issue. Just have to drive a little slower and be more careful. For the marshals it may get a little wetter.

Thunderstorms are the issue, in which case we will have to shut down get the marshals to a safe location and wait until it is safe to resume.

Yeah. In many states you could have lemon lawed that car by now. Not here tho. And CAMVAP probably won't help.

The last 3 times I have been to AMP they were calling for showers and each of the 3 occasions it rained in various parts of Nova Scotia but AMP stayed dry. Not sure what it is about that place, but do not let the forecast stop anyone from attending. It will be a fine day for Time Attack.

First off it's *Dustin* but I don't care much. Call me anything you want, just not late for dinner.

As for the car.....

It has to due with the fact that I purchased the Ford Maintenance Plan (FMPP). Which means, only Ford parts go on the car (as far as they know)
For the brake pads we were waiting for them to be manufactured. If you can believe these numbers, Ford has sold close to 10000 Fiesta ST s in North America in the past year and a half, yet only produce and sell 200 sets of brake pads per quarter. That doesn't add up to me.

What baffles me further, is that the Ford Motor Company is willing to pay for a rental car for OVER 6 WEEKS, but won't cover the cost of $90 aftermarket brake pads or honor a warranty if they are installed.

Regardless, the last bit of everything finally came in today, so I will be back behind the wheel of my mini rocket ship by Monday :-)

I'm looking at going after Ford to have my extended warranty and FMPP refunded. When I pay for service out of pocket, I'm treated like royalty, once I'm trapped in the FMPP, a simple oil change will take 6.5 hours.
