Track Day Checklist:

-Your Helmet!!! The list of approved helmets are listed in Section 16 (Page 8 ) of the ASN Canada FIA Lapping Regulations. We do not have loaner helmets.

-PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH!

-Ensure you are a current member of an ARMS Club or bring a membership form. ARMS Membership Form (+$20)

-Bring a completed Self Tech Form SoloSport Self Tech Form

-Bring plenty of fluids (water, Gatorade, etc) You will drink 2x or 3x more than you think you will even on a rainy cold day.

-Bring plenty of sun screen and bug repellent, you will be manning a marshal stand at some point during the day.

-For safety reasons please wear pants and close toed shoes (no shorts or sandals)

-No RED or YELLOW shirts(These can be confused as flags)

-Bring rain gear, even if it calls for sun all day.

-Please ensure you have more than 3/4 tank of gas. Nearest gas station to AMP is 15mins away, filling the tank up before leaving for AMP is best.

-Inflate your street tires to 40psi & bring an air tank or air pump if possible.

-Pack a a tarp. It is handy to cover your stuff when you empty your car. Vehicles must be empty before they go on track.

-Again, please bring your own lunch, and plenty of fluids (water, Gatorade, etc).... I can't stress this enough and there are no food services at AMP for the Track Day.

Another Fantastic day at AMP...was a little sketchy, weather wise, to begin but what a difference a little hole in the clouds makes. It would have been nice to have a few more people enjoying the track but, the people that showed up got a full days worth of track time.
Thanks to Lucas and Rob for a great day. :)

Thanks to you Kevin, Andrew and the rest of the marshals that gave up their Saturday.
Also thanks to those drivers that did come out and play.
See you all July 1st!

It was a really fun day!
Thanks Rob, Luke, and the marshalls.

What made it extra fun for me was lapping together with the Fiesta ST. It is so evenly spec'd with the FRS. Both are close to 200 hp, close to the same curb weight of just over 2700 lbs, and similar gear ratios.

Lookin forward to the next one!

If there is sufficient interest there will be another school similar to the one held in May with the July 1st lapping day.

If you are interested in taking an AFRA school, please email us at lapping (at) atlanticformularacing.com

All requirements will be the same as here:
viewtopic.php?f=51&t=13704

Tell anyone you may know that if they were thinking about taking the last one and missed out that this is their chance!

Maybe you should pick one up Nickoli! FWD might be a little bit easier for you to hang on to ;)

Hey guys, are the dates posted in this thread accurate? Like to bring the pro challenge out for a good shakedown. Can anyone confirm the next lapping session at amp? Need to plan ahead. None of my business but if there are dates posted somewhere that aren't correct they should be corrected. It's hard enough for us that are into this to find things. Must be hell for someone just getting into it. Not complaining just know it is similar in many areas of the arms site.

July 1st is listed as next on the site and confirmed above by Mr. Barker.

I'm planning to attend, schedule permitting.

Thanks Brent man.

Kevin don't get too excited , just checked. It's a Wednesday. Not sure if I can do that. The car is a beast. I have used this analogy before. It's like being in a disturbed hornets nest.

Hey guys, how do I register for the school portion of the day ?

the website's school section only lists the 2014 dates, is it just $100 period even if you require the school / instructor on July 1?

Thanks!

Anyone else making plans? Time to gets some laps on the tires.

Pretty sure it's just a lapping day. The race is the 23rd. Time Attack on the 22nd. Unless AFRA decides to have a Time Attack on the 9th too, but I doubt it.

Another great day at AMP...that place never gets old. We had some people from the superbike event crawling from their place of rest to clean up and leave their temporary homes at AMP.
I got the chance to work corner 11 and then corner 2 and I can tell ya we had few people honing their 'drive fast' skills. I am no good with names but...there was a Black Honda Civic, I remember from the autoslalom at the church, that was just working the track hard. each time he was in the pits he was adjusting this and that to get faster and it showed. Then the fantastic sounding blue BRZ or FRS was putting the boots to the race course in style. This is what those cars should sound like from the factory. I watched people go from a very tentative driver to a very confident lapper in the run of the day, hats off to those who keep going while others 'lay in the sun'.
I witnessed things that I have never seen done...like a three wheeler thru turn eleven...and a full throttle run thru the entire radius of turn two "vetec was in full song the entire way", which led to a very fast run up to turn three.
I sure hope some of these folks are planning to attend the Time Attack National event in September as they sure have the abilities to give everyone a run for the trophies.

Thank you drivers for allowing us to witness those skills.

Kevin "grey hair" the rambling marshal.
