Is the 9th the official date now? I didn't see any confirmation in the thread regarding the date change from the 8th so I just wanted to get my calendar straight before I committed to it.

Daphne and I are looking to assist any newbs. She has a co-participant lined up. I don't.

If anyone is thinking of competing and would like an experienced navigator let me know.
If you have a hall sensor installed we might be able to get my computer up and running in time)

The route check was done by Martin Gillis Saturday. The corrections have been made and the instructions are ready to print.
The official distance Exp has been modified to 212.00 km time of 4:28 if all of the check points are placed. Novice distance is 157.53 km time of 3:26 .
The novice instructions are very straightforward. The Apple Blossoms are out and there are a few spots where a quick picture could be taken of the scenic view.
The experienced instructions, while not as straight forward as the novice, can be followed by newcomers to the sport.
The checkpoint locations are going to be busy so a second pair of eyes would be handy.
If you are planning to enter or checkpoint please let me know here or <jpartridge@ns.sympatico.ca>.

I might be out now. Having some more electrical problems with the 244. I'll likely spend Sunday working on it. :|

Bring a laptop, phone, and ask for a time out at the C/P when you have to do work! :)

Is there a Terra-Trip in in? That is a very generous offer Pidge, thank you! Unfortunately, that would mean I won't have the car ready/working properly for next week though, so I should pass on it.

I might still be able to make it if I can sort the 244 out before Sunday. I just don't want a repeat of the last rally where I was constantly asking for jump starts.

I'm 95% sure that the car is running properly now. Anyone feel like taking their chances and navigating for me? All of the usual suspects are watching the GP or at the lapping day.

I could potentially run a checkpoint for you Pidge, if I can't find someone.

I would like to say a very heartfelt thanks to Pidge and Charlotte for their excellent Rally and Banquet today.

The roads were fantastic, just enough sprinkes to keep the dust down.

Big thanks to the checkpoint crews for enjoying the woods. :)

Thanks Ian and all competitors/checkpointers who came out to support Dads rally. He put a lot of work into it and by the looks of it it has paid off.

Yes, thanks P+C!

Ian, thanks for letting me see how the "other half" (ie Alfa-users) lives and not belittling me too much for getting us off route! Hopefully I'll have recovered my skill-set enough by the time of the next rally for me to nav Daphne in a more calm and orderly manner...

Thanks very much to P&C and all the checkpointers. I guess we'll have to get a fancy new rally computer one of these days, and move up with the big guys.

Looks like I missed a fun event. Still kinda pissed that I couldn't make it out to run or help out. Glad that it went well for everyone!
